We believe in clear, upfront pricing. Here is exactly what is and is not covered by our flat fees.
What 'Flat Fee' Means
A flat fee means the legal fee for the specific services listed in the package is fixed — you will not receive an unexpected billable hours invoice for that work. However, flat fees apply only to the stated scope. Additional work, complexity, or out-of-pocket disbursements are not included.What Flat Fees Include

- Lawyer time for the specific tasks listed
- Consultations included in the package
- Drafting or review within scope
- One round of revisions (where stated)
Additional Costs Where Applicable
- HST, where applicable (normally 13% for Ontario legal services)
- Government filing fees and registration fees
- Court filing fees
- Process server and courier fees
- Third-party reports and appraisals
- Rush fees for urgency surcharges
- Work outside the stated package scope
- Complex negotiations or contested hearings
- Appeals or additional proceedings
- Additional parties, documents, or complexity
Residential real estate prices
Residential real estate prices include legal fees, ordinary disbursements, and third-party charges for the advertised transaction. Only HST and the permitted disbursements listed on the service page are additional. The general extra-cost list above does not authorize other surcharges on these transactions.All Service Packages

Price Guarantee Limitation
The advertised fee applies whenever the advertised scope applies. Work outside that scope requires a separate written agreement before it begins. A lawyer may decline a matter where:
- The matter is more complex than described
- Additional work is required beyond the package scope
- Urgency, contested proceedings, or complications arise
- A conflict of interest is found
There is no unilateral increase for work already included in the advertised package. Extra work must be separately described and priced before you authorize it.
