Flatly is owned and operated by Ryan Keeney, a licensed Ontario lawyer in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario (LSO #65398E). This platform is not a multi-lawyer law firm, or just a legal technology company — it is a single lawyer's law practice, presented through a modern digital interface. Where a particular service is requested that is offered by a referral partner, then introductions to other lawyers are made in a transparent and convenient manner.
The goal is simple: make it easy to understand what legal services are available, what they cost, and how the process works — before you commit to anything. Every service request is reviewed personally, and you will always know which lawyer is responsible for your matter.
Who Performs the Legal Work?
All legal services are performed by or under the direct supervision of a licensed Ontario lawyer.
Depending on volume and timelines, work may be performed by subcontractor lawyers who are also licensed and in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario. You will always be told which lawyer is responsible for your matter before work begins — this will be reflected in your retainer agreement.
No legal work will be assigned or delegated without your knowledge. If the lawyer responsible for your matter changes, you will be notified.
