Global Talent Stream LMIA

The Global Talent Stream is a specialized Labour Market Impact Assessment pathway for eligible Canadian employers hiring certain high-skilled or specialized foreign workers. It may be available where the employer, position, wage, candidate, and program requirements fit the Global Talent Stream criteria. This service assists employers with assessing eligibility, preparing the employer-side LMIA application, organizing supporting documents, and understanding the next steps if the LMIA is approved. If needed, the related LMIA-based work permit application for the foreign worker can be added as a separate second step.

Government fees are separate from the legal fee. The LMIA government fee is generally $1,000 per position. If a related LMIA-based work permit application is filed, the work permit government fee is generally $155 per applicant. Biometrics are generally $85 if required.
